BROWNIES OF THE FUTURE

We think that in 30 years time Brownies will be called "CUPCAKES". They will wear uniforms that are pink and purple stripes. Every badge will be in the shape of a cupcake. The future badge might be things like "SPACE TRAVELLER" and "DESIGN A COMPUTER GAME OR TV GAME". A cupcake pack holiday might be to the moon or a planet. We will meet on the cupcake channel, you will step into the TV what day and time you like. | ||

We will have items for sale including these two - a Teddy and a necklace |

We think that the Cupcakes will be called: Icing, Sprinkles, Sponge and Chocolate Brownies. We think that to get enrolled you
would have to make cup cakes for the whole six that you are in and
yourself. After you have eaten it you are enrolled! |
The sixers will be called
"Cherries"
 and the
seconders "Chocolate Chips".

Some of our Mum's were
Brownies. Out of our unit of 21 girls, 14 of our Mum's
were Brownies. They took their promise but it was a bit different
from the one we say today.
Old Promise "I promise that I will do my best to love my God and serve my Queen and help other people and keep the Brownie Law." Can you see the differences? |

We do a lot of things at Brownies. We work for our badges and we all enjoy playing games and singing songs. | ||
| There are lots of different badges. Some are the same as our Mum's did like Artist and Cook's, but we have new ones like Computer and Designer. |

The thing that has changed the most is the uniform! | ||

| This year in May, we went on
our first Pack holiday. It was in Thetford Forest at Thorpe Woodlands.
Taryn, Siān, Jess and Kerri wrote about their craft work:

| " At Brownie Pack Holiday it was based on Wind in the Willows which is a famous story. we made a Badger puppet. It was made from card and we coloured them in or stuck felt over it. Next we stuck split pins in the arms and legs to put it together. Finally we stuck the garden stick-on the back. We had made our badger. We made cuddly toy toads too. First we got the two materials and drew out the outline of a toad. Then we cut out the toad. We sewed the eyes on the top of the other piece of material. Then we sewed the material up but not between the legs. Then we stuffed it up and turned it inside out. we sewed the last bit up and we had a toad.. we drew a picture of the river for our jigsaw. Then we laminated it and cut it into pieces. we put it together as a jigsaw in a game and then it was finished." | |||
 We had great fun sleeping in our bunk beds. The two areas were for the Weasels and the Stoats. |
 We were in groups called Butterflies, Ladybirds and Bees. |

dressed up in the old uniform. We like the new one better though!
